SafeAssign

SafeAssign is used to detect potential instances of plagiarism in a document. It serves almost the same function as the TurnItIn tool on Blackboard. SafeAssign is useful for:

• Educating students about plagiarism and how to create a paper with accurately cited sources
• Allowing students to submit a draft before final grading
• Seeing if plagiarism has potentially been committed. SafeAssign matches, per percent, how much of a document matches with an online source and available databases.
• Reviewing the sources that the student supposedly copied from, allowing insight into how plagiarism may or may not have been committed
• Allowing reattempts or grade reentry through the Grade Center
